WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

The Ford 4X4 Experience has been designed specifically for Ford Next-Generation Ranger and Next-Generation Everest 4X4 owners who want to increase their understanding and enjoyment of their vehicle, and expand their off-roading skills and techniques.


You’ll learn things such as:

  • How to plan your travel route
  • Correct range and gear selection
  • Tyre pressure and adjustment
  • Hill Descent Control, Diff Lock and off-road technologies
  • Emergency braking on unsealed/gravel roads
  • Water crossings
  • 4WD safety and emergency technology
  • Navigation technology
  • Vehicle ergonomics
  • FordPass; and
  • Parking assist

WHO'S INVITED?

This experience is a great opportunity for owners of Next-Generation Rangers or Next-Generation Everests looking to get the most out of their new Ford vehicle. All skills levels are welcome, from 4x4 beginners to seasoned off-roaders.

Participating drivers can also bring a maximum of one guest along to the 2022 Ford 4X4 Experience event:

  • if the guest also wishes to drive during the event, guests are required to:
    - be aged 18 years or older;

    - have a current and valid full Australian driver’s licence;
    - drive the participating driver’s Next-Generation Ranger or Next-Generation Everest 4x4 vehicle; and
    - read, sign and return the Ford 4x4 Experience Activity Participation Agreement;
    or
  • if the guest is a non-driving passenger / spectator, the guest is required to:
    - be aged 18 years old or older; and
    - read, sign and return the Ford 4x4 Experience Activity Participation Agreement.


LOCATION

Broadford State Motorcycle Sports Complex is conveniently located just an hour north of Melbourne, and features an ideal 4WD track for your Ford 4x4. Set amongst 400 acres of bushland, drivers will experience a range of challenging natural features.

TIMINGS

This is a half day course, with two time slots available:

  • 8:00am - 12:00pm*
  • 1:00pm - 5:00pm*

HERE’S WHAT TO BRING

  • Your Ford Next-Generation Ranger or Next-Generation Everest 4x4 vehicle;
  • Australian driver’s license (current and valid full license required);
  • Casual, comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the expected weather conditions;
  • Flat, comfortable, closed toe shoes; and
  • Sunscreen

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS:

Please ensure that your Ford Next-Generation Ranger or Next-Generation Everest vehicle:

  • Is registered and roadworthy;
  • Has a full tank of fuel
  • Has the recommended manufacturer oil and water levels (refer to your Ford Owner's Manual for recommended levels);
  • The tyre pressures are at recommended manufacturer levels (refer to your Ford Owner's Manual for recommended levels); and
  • any loose items have been removed from your vehicle.


FOOD & BEVERAGES

Tea, coffee and water will be supplied, along with a light morning or afternoon snack during the training briefing. No alcohol or illegal substances (including drugs) can be consumed within 12 hours prior to participating in the experience.


WEATHER

The Ford 4x4 Experience will go ahead rain or shine.


CANCELLATIONS

In the unlikely event there is a need to cancel or postpone a Ford 4X4 Experience event, we will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

COVID-19

In deciding whether to attend this event, you should take into account factors including any medical or other conditions that may place you at a higher risk of developing serious disease from COVID-19 and current public health and safety advice relevant to the location of the event, including current advice regarding any community spread of COVID-19.  


In addition to adhering to instructions and requirements advised by the event venue and event staff, the following general information is provided to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • If you or any member of your household are feeling sick or unwell, or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.
  • Wear a properly fitted face mask when required to comply with public health restrictions, event venue requirements, and when it may be difficult to maintain social distancing of 1.5m.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (or use a hand sanitiser). Ensure you do this after you cough, sneeze, go to the toilet, and before you eat, or handle food. Always cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
  • Avoid touching surfaces in public settings and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
